For one of Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) in 2024, you can now submit an application.

Applications must be submitted online by February 2024.

What do SLPs do? The SLPs concentrate on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to address a specific learning need defined by people or organizations, according to Unisa.

The Center for Lifelong Learning at Unisa oversees the operation of these programs (UCL). Click here to view the Unisa courses that are included in the SLPs on the Unisa website.

The applicants who begin a new qualification must upload all relevant documents, which often include the following:

  • a copy of your academic credentials (eg Senior Certificate)
  • Official tertiary academic record(s) copy (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • A copy of your ID document (if you are an RSA student) or your ID/passport (international students)
  • a copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree (if appropriate) (if applicable)
  • Documents must be sworn translated if they are not in English or Afrikaans.

You are not required to pay an application fee.

  • By no later than the end of January 2024 for semester courses and the end of February 2024 for year programs, Unisa will let you know the status of your application.
