Students pursuing a BA in the College of Human Sciences must take either Psychology or Industrial and Organizational Psychology as their first-year courses.
Students who pick psychology as their major should take the first-level anthropology module (APY1501) and the philosophy (Critical Reasoning) module (PLS2601).
SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, AND TECHNOLOGY COLLEGE: Students who choose psychology as a major should take first-year statistics (or math) and/or philosophy courses before or concurrently with third-year courses.

  • Applying social psychology to areas like clinical psychology, health, organizations, and society at large will be simpler once one is familiar with the theoretical foundations of social perception and cognition, attitudes, identity, and prejudice, as well as pro- and antisocial behavior and group behavior.

Purpose:

  • This essay on the psychology of work aims to apply psychological theory, ideas, and research to issues that have an impact on both management and employees in businesses. The implicit premise is that, in a sense, the psychology of work is all about practical social psychology. Students must discuss the specifics of their employment during the course’s practical component. Important subjects covered include organizational behavior, basic human processes, group dynamics, influencing others, and organizational processes including the workplace, organizational structure and design, and organizational change and development.
