Application Deadlines/How to Apply

Admission to Undergraduate Qualification for the 2024 academic year will be open from September to November.

  • Admission to Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas for the 2024 academic year will be available from September to December. CTA programs have an earlier deadline. There will also be additional application deadlines if there are still spaces available for the 2024 academic year after the set deadline.
  • Applications for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees will be accepted from September to November. Following that, only Master’s and Doctoral Degree qualifications with open seats will be available until the end of January.

Who Is Eligible to Apply

  • Anyone who wishes to begin a new qualification should apply for admission.

What Are You Required To Do?

First and foremost, determine whether you are eligible for admission before applying. Before applying, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:

  • The statutory and admission requirements for your chosen qualification(s).
  • Minimum Academic Points Score (APS) for your chosen qualification(s).
  • Have a valid email address and a cell phone number, and agree that Unisa will communicate with you through them during the application process. It is critical that you check your email frequently for information about your Unisa application.

Also, be prepared to upload the following supporting documents during the application process:

  • a copy of your school diploma
    Official tertiary academic record(s) copy (if applicable)
    Certified copy of your identification document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
    a copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree (if applicable) (applicable)
    Documents must be sworn translated if they are not in English or Afrikaans.


  • Admission applications are available online. To complete the application process, go to the college’s website and look for the online application form.
