Applications for Unisa’s 2024 short-term learning programs are now available to anyone who is interested. Applications must be filed online.

You can now submit an application for one of Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) in 2024.

By February 2024, applications must be filed online.

How do SLPs work? According to Unisa, SLPs focus on “just in time” and “just enough” learning to suit particular learning need to be identified by individuals or organizations.

These programs are managed by Unisa’s Center for Lifelong Learning (UCL). On the Unisa website, you can view the Unisa courses that are part of the SLPs by clicking here.

When beginning a new qualification, candidates must upload all pertinent documents, which frequently include the following:

  • a replica of your academic transcript (eg Senior Certificate)
  • official copy of any relevant tertiary academic records (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • a duplicate of your identification (if you’re an RSA student) or passport (international students)
  • a copy of your divorce decree or marriage certificate, as relevant (if applicable)
  • If a document is not in English or Afrikaans, a sworn translation must be provided.

You are exempt from paying an application fee.

  • Unisa will inform you of the outcome of your application by no later than the end of January 2024 for semester courses and the end of February 2024 for year programs. If you are selected, Unisa will inform you of the program you have been approved for and reserve a space for you for the required time period.
